Blinking screen. I updated my windows to the crappy windows 8.1, updated all the drivers of my video card, although some games, actually, just assassin´s creed II and brotherhood, have an awful blinking screen, depending on the angle i move the camera (usually towards a sun beam). It wasn´t happenning before the windows 8.1 update. No, feathers are optional too. The only required collectibles are the codex pages because they are tied to a story related thing. Rest can all be ignored if you wish. No problem! Enjoy the game. Also if you bring the codex pages to Leonardo to decode, you get a permanent health increase at certain intervals.

It's possible to save your game at any point, apart from combat or anything that involves movement, such as jumping, assassinating, or anything of the like. In the folder where you have installed the game there should be a .ini file most probably cpy.ini, codex.ini or steam.ini or something like that. Open it using notepad, the save path should be written in there.
