The Hoka One One mafate 4 is the best possible, fully realized, version of a maximal support shoe for ultra distance trail running in existence. We thank the nice people at Hoka OneOne for sending us a pair of Mafate 4 to test. This did not influence the outcome of the review, written after running more than 50 miles in them.
