BMW's get pricey to maintain, and modifications are more expensive. G35's are cheaper to maintain and easier to modify, but don't look nearly as good as the Ci Coupe. The Ci is an E46 car, which was the series just before the E90. My personal 330i is the E90 variant, which is up-tuned form the E46 car, stiffer suspension, but also a bit fatter.
All coupes (except M3) use the same springs, regardless of whether or not it has Sports Package. These are the same springs used on Sports Package sedans, which do use different springs for non-Sports Package cars. As long as you're buying springs/shocks made for non-M3 coupes, it will fit just fine. 2.
Basically the s54 engine has much higher volumetric efficiency, is higher displacement and revs higher. For what it is worth, you can get ~300-350 hp out of the 3.0 while still staying normally aspirated and without boring or stroking the engine. Check out some of the club race cars based on the e46 platform.

If you're looking for a BMW 3-Series you will definitely want to know all about every aspect of the car – and Parkers has all the spec details you need to know how it will fit into your life. E46 coupe (x2) The 328Ci 5speed is pretty strong in low-end TQ, but doesnt fully wake up until 4,500rpm and pulls great to high rpms. The 330Ci 5speed takes that and multiplies those feelings by 5, and timing lights comfirm that feeling also. I've never driven any of those cars with a slushbox so I can't comment. Along with the larger spline on the outer stub also featured in the level below, they feature larger CV joints on the diff side. Standard E36/E46/E8X/E9x non-m axles feature a 6x86mm CV joint. This is strong, but will start to fail when adding big power and aggressive driving like drifting. E36 and E46 M3 models have a larger 6x94mm CV.

this is different in the M3 compared to 330Ci: front and rear bumper, sideskirts, front and rear fenders are wider, hood has different lines and has a power bulge, quad exhaust, trunk lip, side grills with M3 logo, wider stance in the rear, wheels, mirrors, always black window trim, black headlight trim + black portion between the headlights to complete the headlight "black-out" look.

Thomas Plucinsky, BMW Product and Technology Communications Manager told us all BMW engines are designed to run on 91 octane. All performance testing, including EPA emissions and fuel mileage, is done with 91 octane. However, though BMW is all about performance, their motors will run on 89 or 87 octane without damage.
As with the E46 M3 itʼs resale value has remained high. Whereas there were M3 sedans in the E36 and E90 body styles, the ZHP sedan was the closest you could get to a four door M3 in the E46 line
