I have a 58 plate grande punto that I have bought damaged to repair. It has been involved in a front end smash. The fuel cut off message is coming up on the clocks and it won't clear using the indicator method in the manual. I have had the crash data removed from the airbag trigger and the fault
My Fuel pump is not working. Checked voltage thru cable, reading is none when switched on. But when switched off, it showed a blinking 12V for a split second and back to 0V. Searched thru the forums and found some suggestive ideas: 1. Check for cut off switch. My question: Where is the exact location? 2. Check for fuel pump relay. No benzina could be the fuel shut-off switch. It almost *has* to be the fuel shut off switch as (as my old mechanic used to say) the fuel pump must have been working okay when it hit the wall. You can rig a direct feed to the fuel pump (under the rear seat) if you want to prove that the pump works. 181. Location. Basingrad. Jul 3, 2009. #2. If it's anything like other FIATs, the fuel cut-off switch is the passenger footwell; check the handbook, should just be a case of pushing it in. G.

Hi, So i have a 1.4 fiat punto grande. About a month ago this warning light pops up fuel cut off switch. Along with that warning light the doors lock and unlock continuously untill the warning light just goes away on its own. Then it will come back and go. And this repeats. The aa had a look. Ran it through thier diagnostics and found nothing. Luckily had the Fiat manual with us - apparantly the vehicle has an inertia switch which shuts off the fuel pump after a jolt, the manual shiowed how to push the button on the top to reset it - however the diagram of where it was showed a LHD and isn't very clear - so after half an hour in the front footwell with a torch - we eventually found The fuel cut off switch on a Fiat Grande Punto is located in the passenger compartment, specifically in the driver's footwell. It is positioned on the side of the dashboard, near the door. We and our partners use cookies to display personalized advertising and for profiling and measurement purposes.

The tank is full so I know that's not an issue, when I switch the ignition on the gauge rises to around 1/4 of a tank and then drops. I have had the sender unit out and that's OK. I checked the resistance reading as I moved the float up and down.
