Erik, Thats all 4 injectors, not one. On the Mazda there is no injector for the DPF like on say a Toyoto Avensis. The regen works by adding fuel on the exhaust stroke when the exhaust valve is open to increase the heat to burn off the carbon in the DPF.

What I did say was Toyoto Diesels (and perhaps other makes) have an injector prior to the DPF that during a regen operates to increase the heat in the DPF to burn away the build up of carbon.
